Focus Area |
My research is focused on photocatalysis. As part of this, the characteristics of chromophores are investigated in Langmuir-Blodgett films, where they can act as dipole antennas that receive UV–vis light. Therefore, molecular dynamics and QM/MM simulations are applied to study their orientation, aggregation, and excited states. This project is part of the DFG Transregional Collaborative Research Center TRR234 CataLight, which aims to develop light-driven molecular catalysts in hierarchically structured materials. |
