| My doctoral project is conducted within the framework of CataLight, a transregional collaborative research center dedicated to converting solar energy into chemical reactivity by integrating light-driven catalytic compounds into soft matter matrices. I develop computational models of polymer-based soft matter systems and explore the incorporation of photoactive compounds. Using a combination of density functional theory and molecular dynamics simulations, I gain insights into both the conformational behaviour and photochemical properties of these systems, with particular emphasis on the role of the soft matter environment. |
