Focus Area
My research focuses on photochemical water splitting. I use a variety of theoretical approaches to simulate the reactivity of transition metal-based water oxidation catalysts in gas phase, solution, and soft matter matrix environments. This project is part of the DFG Transregional Collaborative Research Center TRR234 CataLight, which aims to develop light-driven molecular catalysts in hierarchically structured materials.
